Fostoria glass inkwell with wooden stand. Made by Fostoria around 1888. The pattern name is 'Cascade'. This unusual oval inkwell has a swirl pattern. The pattern also extends to the lid. There is a peg on the base that fits into a hole in the horseshoe-shaped wooden stand. The stand may have been made by Fostora Barrel and Stave Company. There is also a pen rest cut into it. The well itself is round and rather small. There is a chip on the rim of the inkwell. 2 1/2" high, 3 1/2" long, 3" wide.
